LIFE: Ecotourism and nature protection in the Kaliningrad Region

This project was meant to contribute to the continuous protection of the coastal spits in Kaliningrad region. In close collaboration with wetsern european experts, concept for ecotoruism and environmental protection were developed, specialists from the Kaliningrad environmental administrations were invited to participate in training courses on ICZM, and public awareness compaigns were launched. Following these activities, ecotourist infrastructure, an information centre and financial mechanisms to secure for adequate nature and resource use were set up.
