Abstract: | In Schleswig-Holstein some coastal waters are classified as so-called "heavily modified water bodies" (in sense of the EU-Water Framework Directive). The following article describes hydromorphological changes of the Kiel Fjord of the last 150 years and its consequences for water quality. Some measures are outlined to achieve a "good ecological potential". |
